District and Deputy Heads from the newly created Western-North Region in charge of managing the Arabic Instructor’s module at the district levels have picked their appointment letters as part of the Ministry of Inner-Cities and Zongo Development’s vision to make the teaching and learning of Arabic relevant in the country.
The Arabic instructor’s module under the leadership of the sector Minister Dr Mustapha Abdul-Hamid after the launch in Accra is expected to engage about Three thousand instructors across all Zongo communities across the sixteen regions of the country.
The District head and deputies from the Western-North Region picked their appointment letters last Monday October 5, 2020 after a team from the Ministry scrutinized and approved their applications.
The Eighteen thousand applications received from applicants across the country for appointment are still being pruned by the Ministry to ascertain people who are teaching Arabic language at the basic levels of education in the country.
According to the Director of Social Services at the Ministry, Madam Amina Sammo the team is guided by the fact that many of the people who applied had no idea of the Arabic language.
The team is working on all the others for onward distribution to the remaining Fifteen regions.
