The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has reminded the main opposition led by the former president John Dramani Mahama that the duty of every government is to create a platform for everyone, no matter one's religion, group or where one is coming from to benefit.
This is what the President His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo did with the creation of the Ministry of Inner-City and Zongo Development to help develop the Zongo communities and Inner-cities.
Dr Mustpha Abdul-Hamid, the Minister for Inner-City and Zongo Development made this disclosure on Onua TV's political program called '100 degrees' in Accra.
According to the sector Minister, for quite a long time the Zongo communities have lacked developments in terms of infrastructure and education and that 'is why a visionary leader like President Akufo-Addo created the special-purpose Ministry and also introduced the Zongo Development Fund to offer tailor-made developments in these underprivileged communities.
The Ministry in the last three years has provided thirty-nine Information Communications Technology laboratories in fourteen regions and constructing ten Astroturfs in some Zongo communities across the country.
There is also the construction of community libraries and the construction of six-unit classroom blocks, construction of water systems and drainages in many of these underprivileged communities by the Ministry, he further revealed.
'It is the duty of every government to create opportunities for each community for development and NPP is the party that can really develop the Zongo communities, he argued.
This is the reason Ghanaians must vote for Nana Addo to manifest his vision and competence to develop the country for Ghanaians to finally enjoy.
He reminded the Zongo communities to give their endorsements to the four more Nana Addo to do more campaign to develop the Zongo communities.
