The Minister for Inner-City and Zongo Development has inspected works on the construction of an Astroturf for the people of Walewale in the North East Region by the Ministry.
Dr. Mustapaha Abdul-Hamid as of the inspection of the Walewale multi-purpose Astroturf met the busy workers onsite and interacted with them, sought their views and heard their challenges working on the Zongo Ministry flagship project in the region.
The workers informed the sector Minister that the project was 95% complete.
The contractor in a short remark assured the Zongo Minister that project will be completed by the end of September 2020, and handed to the leadership of the Municipal Assembly.
'I can assure you that the beautiful edifice will be handed over for the people to enable them to use it, for their various activities in the municipality.
The youth and opinion leaders of the community also told the Zongo Minister that they cannot wait to start using the facility.
The Walewale multi-purpose facility forms part of astroturfs being constructed by the Zongo Ministry in Madina, Fadaama in the Greater Region, Akurem in the Ashanti Region, Kyebi, Akim Oda in the Eastern Region among others such as green parks across the Zongo communities in the country.
